YOSHIRO NAKAMURA is not just another Bossa Nova player. He composes music, also writes words in Portuguese.
About 20 years ago when he traveled around Brazil, he found a bar which is called SEM NOME(it's means nameless) in Sao Paulo. There were many Bohemian people who loves to play guitar and to sing all night, and they taught him how to play all style Brazilian music.
After returning to Japan, he participated in many recording sesseions.
His well returning vocal called 'velvet voice' as well as genuine acoustic guitar technique is getting high reputation not only here in Japan but also among many artists abord, such as Pierre Barouh, Miucha, Richard Bona,Quarteto em Cy, Richad Galliano, Wanda Sa, Silvia Telles, Bia......
He had released 10 CDs of his own.
PASSRO DO RIO('95) <MIUCHA, WANDA SA, PIERRE BAROUH and others> and ESCONDE-ESCONDE('97)<QUARTETO EM CY, CLAUDIA TELLES, PIERRE BAROUH and others> were recorded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
ITSUKA KIMI NI('99)(Je te dirai un jour. I'll tell you some day) <RICHARD GALLIANO, BIA, PIERRE BAROUH and others> was recorded in France cooperated with Pierre Barouh. And released in France and BENELUX by SARAVAH label. In '99 ESCONDE-ESCONDE had be released in Spain by DISCMEDI BLAU label.
LUMINOSO('01)<RICHARD BONA, CAFE, AARON HEICK,FEBIAN REZA PANE>was recorded in New York.
Not only for his own albums, he is also providing many artists with his original songs as a song writer and arranger. He also plays for many commercial songs. Besides as a singer song writer, he gives lectures on Bossa Nova at NHK Culture Center in Yokohana and other schools
