ニュージャージー州生れ。医者である。鳴り物入りだった『城塞』（『ザ・キープ』ではないのです）が、いまひとつと感じていて、結局その辺で引っ掛かったまま、『触手』も実はあるアイデアの焼き直しにすぎないように感じられて、どちらかというとキワモノっぽい作家というイメージのままである。『城塞』は映画も？であるけども。
いっぱい出ているのだけど、あまり読んでない。『黒い風』を含めて、そのうちにと思っているのが…
あまり読んでないのに、こんなこと書いてはなんだけど、この作家の資質を端的に表わしているのは「ソフト病」ではないかなと思うのだけど…
