ひねくれもんではないと思うのだけど、短編集にまとまった作品よりも、まとまっていない作品におもしろさを感じることが多いのは、性格的な問題なのかなあとも思うが、ボーモントもまとまっていない方に傑作が多いと感じる。
奇妙な味と言われるにふさわしい作家である。
比較的、理解しやすい作品が多いが、中には「変身処置」のような作品もあるから、油断ならない。どちらかというと、ホラー系なんだけど、ボーモントだからというこのひとでしかという味わいがある。なんとか救ってほしいひとりなんだけどなあ。
