Welcome to the world of Spanish tile

The history of Spanish tile goes back to the eighth century. The tile culture entered Spain, when Islamite in north Africa had migrated to Spain. An exact geometrical pattern of Islam , for example, the Alhambra of Granada and the typical arabesque pattern mixed with the design that used a vivid color peculiar to Spain、and it became the tile culture of original Spain afterwards.

You can find many kinds of vivid color tiles when you travel around Andalusia area and Valencia. The tile is used for daily life very naturally in Spain, and the tile is a part of the life of Spanish.
The entire town is beautiful like a tile museum. The field of "tile art" has been established in this country.

SPAIN TILE ART KOHBOH (Spanish tile art atelier) was established in Valencia in 1995 to introduce a wonderful hand-painted tile to everybody.

We have now our school of "painting tile" in Valencia, Tokyo, and Osaka.
