| November 29, 2001 The Consul American Consulate General Osaka, Japan Dear Sirs, My name is sea-la, I am engaged in non-life insurance business,utilizing my qualifications. My hobby is sailing and yacht race. In the summers of 2000 and 2001, I took part in 'Asahi Super Cup Hawaii International sail Race Challenge' held in Hawaii. This made me realize the splendor of the nature of Hawaii, the difficulty of the sea, how high the international races are. And I also felt strongly the necessity of the English conversation. So I would like to visit your country, Hawaii and participate N.I.C.E. (New Intensive Courses in English) Program, University of Hawaii at Manoa. And I would like to participate from January 11, 2002 to March 22, 2002 for the purpose of studying English. I think my studying English is very important to grow myself in the future and I would like to study about American Culture, American History, and Hawaiian Culture. Anyway I like America, and in the future I would like to become an international minded women and want to have a broad view of many things through studying English. And when I learn English, I want to plan an international yacht race in which sailor from all over the world can participate in Japan.
