| Korea - December, 2002 Firsti time to visit Korea was such an exciting one. Three girls spent most of our stay on shopping, eating, shopping and ethtetics...such a gorgeous trip!!! We have a movie from Myondong, so called i.e. I called, Shibuya Center gai in Japan. ;) Santa Barbara, CA - October, 2002 Miki-san and myself have visited Machiko-san in Santa Barbara...very rich and relaxing place in California, US. We have spent two weeks there, "living" in Machiko-san and Juha-san's lovely house, and we also travelled to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon together. Las Vegas was what exactly I imagined with all the lights of the main strip and gorgeous hotels and casinos. Grand Canyon, you lose your words for the moment, trust me! We have spent a great time together, and it was such a fun to travel with Miki-san. I couldn't take the picture, but I actually saw a family of dolphines along the coast of Santa Barbara! We also have visited wineries there, and was such a nicely_being_drunk time. ;) I cannot thank too much for Machiko-san and Juha-san for this trip. |
| Hong Kong - December, 2000 Visiting Hong Kong this time with my father was an interesting try. We had a lot of good food, shopping; and had a great time meeting an old friend of my father's, Johnny-san and his wife, Emily-san. The changes of Hong Kong was quite drastic, not only compared to when we lived there 15 years ago, but even a few years ago. Now they have an amazing prepaid system called "Octopus Card", which can be used for all the public transportation including MTRs, buses and even trams plus public telephones with just placing the card to the pad before you use them...very well sytemized! Finland - September, 2000 This was my 3rd visit to Finland, to such a beautiful country of lakes and forests with 6 million habitancy. Meeting with my best friend Jenni, Ross and their lovely little daughter, Emilia, in Tampere was such a relaxing one...oh well, what can I say! Jenni&Ross are really "parents" now, and Emilia has grown so fast that she is such a cute little lady already. Pictures of Helsinki Harbour and Suomenlinna, a small island south of Helsinki, are the view from Viking Line which is the huge passenger vessel runs between Helsinki and Stockholm for over a night. |
| Sweden, Estonia - September, 2000 This was my very first trip to both Sweden and Estonia: visiting such a well preserved old town of Tallinn, Estonia; and seeing my friends, Anna and Malin in Gothernburg; Sweden. Gothernburg is the city of trading, and the biggest banana trading port in the Scandinavian countries. Stockholm, as is in Helsinki, has such a beautiful water view and Gamla Stan with the stone pavement. It was very nice to rent a bycicle and walk along the harbour around the Frisens Park area. |
| Thailand - September, 2000 Thailand is a country with a lot of temples, beautiful nature, and the energy of the city of Bangkok. Meeting again with Takako-chan and her lovely Mali-chan made me feel like that "I came back". We had really great time for going to Pattaya, 2 hours south of Bangkok, with 5 of us from Tokyo...such a gorgeous trip for staying at Royal Cliff Beach Hotel! |
