We held an “International Peace Ceremony” on the deck of
USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor at 3:00 to 5:00 pm
on Saturday, December 2, 2000 (Hawaiian Standard Time).
Simultaneously, a “World Peace Prayer Ceremony”
was held in Hiroshima at 10:00 am to the noon
on Sunday, December 3, 2000 (Japanese Standard Time).
International Peace Ceremony at Pearl Harbor
We thank each and every one of you who prayed together with us
for the peace of Hawaii and Hiroshima and the peace of the whole world
at this critical moment of entering a new millennium.
