Getting texts and images from Web sites

ワープロ・ソフトをスタートしましょう
Start a word processing software:

1. Netscape を かくしましょう。マッキントッシュなら、メニューバーの 右はしに ある Netscape の アイコンを クリックします
   To hide Netscape Communicator on your Mac, click the Netscape icon at the right end of menu bar (top of the screen).
   
2. ポップアップメニューから、[Hide Netscape Communicator]をえらんでください。
   Choose [Hide Netscape Communicator] from pop-up menu.
   
3. デスクトップにあるWord か Apple Works のアイコンを ダブルクリックしてください
   On the desktop, double-click an icon of a Japanese capable word processor, e.g. MS Word or Apple Works to open a new page .
   (On Windows OS, click [Start] in the task bar (bottom of the screen) and Select a Japanese capable word processor, eg. Word from [Programs] menu.)

テキストをコピーしましょう
To copy some text from a Web page:

1. テキストをマウスでハイライトします。
   Select the text you desire.
   
2. [Edit] メニューから [Copy] をえらびます。
   Choose [Copy] from the [Edit] menu.
   
3. ワープロのドキュメントにペーストします。
   Paste the text into the document of a word processing software.
   

えを コピーしましょう
To copy an image from a Web page:

1. えを クリックして、おしたままに してください。（Windows OS は みぎクリック）
   Press and hold the mouse button on the image (on Windows OS, right-click the image) to display a pop-up menu.
   
2. メニューが ポップアップします。Copy をえらびます。
   Choose Copy from the pop-up menu.
   
3. ワープロのドキュメントにペーストします。
   Paste the text into the document of a word processing software.
   
4. れんしゅう：しょうじょうをつくりましょう
   Try creating a Certificate with cutting an image from School Icons CLUB and pasting into a document.
   
5. Note: Netscape Navigator 4.73 for Windows does not support this function. You have to save an image as stated below.

えを セーブしましょう
To save an image from a page onto your hard disk:

Choose [Save Image As] instead of [Copy] in the pop-up menu. This is useful to reuse that image later or when you try creating your own homepage.
