4.1. ローマ字インプットのれんしゅう

• To change from English to Japanese:
  • Mac: Hold down the Apple key and press the Space Bar.
  • Win + Global IME: Hold down the Alt key and press the Shift key to select IME, then Alt + ~.
• Type in in roma-ji first, then it automatically changes into hiragana as you type.
• To transfer hiragana to katakana or kanji, press Space bar and repeat till you get the right one.
• Press return to insert it into the document.

(I am a Japanese language teacher.)

4.3. *Option さいきんのコンピュータの じしょは あたまが いい！

ながいフレーズや1センテンスを かいてからスペース・バーを おしましょう。

Most recent computers are very clever! Their dictionaries contain an enormous amount of words including city names like Sydney or Adelaide. So When you key in a sentence, you don't need to do it word by word, you can key in a whole sentence or long phrase in one go. Then when you press the space-bar the whole sentence should come out correctly.

eg. 南オーストラリアのアデレードにすんでいます。

(I live in Adelaide, South Australia.)
