Prashanth plays the bubbly & exuberant young guy who is doing his post graduation in Visual Communications. Rinkie Khanna comes from Calcutta to pursue her higher studies in the same college. A romantic turn of events blossoms the love bud between them. Prashanth is the son of a political power in Chennai. Prashanth's father is targeted in a bomb blast, which eventually fails. Rinkie Khanna is falsely suspected to be behind the blast and she is hunted by a bloodthirsty mob. She is given sanctuary by the Prashanth's family and even spends 3 days in his room during which time he is a perfect gentleman and does not take advantage of her. They also ensure that Rinkie reaches Calcutta safely. Prashanth goes back to Calcutta to renew ties with his love. Rinkie takes him home to her mother and brother where they realize that Rinkie's brother is the master mind behind the bomb blast in Chennai which was planned for Prashanth's father. Now Rinkie's brother tries to get Prashanth murd!

But Rinkie's mother saves Prashanth from her son's treacherous plans, blesses the young lovers and pleads with them to get back to the safety of Madras, which they do after managing to evade the terrorist dragnet. It is an inter-religious love story set against a backdrop of terrorism and violence. The bulk of the action is split between Madras and Calcutta. The music will try to match the tempo of today's youth as well as pull at the heartstrings of the older generation. How the boy and girl face all the unprecedented obstacles and manage to stay together forms the crux of the story.
