FT-DX100 is a solid state SSB transceiver released in late 60' by Yaesu Musen Co. Well-selected Germanium transistors have taken the place of vacuum tubes except for the drive and the final stage for transmission. The appearance of this transistorized gear has indeed given a big surprise to the users of ancient tube gears and has resulted in the release of a super transceiver FT-101 and its family.
