Little Pied Cormorant

Tasmania Australia

Richmond lies 24km northwest of Hobart, state capital of Tasmania. Settlement began in the 1820s. Straddling the Coal River, it is a historic town with the atmosphere of medieval Europe. The Richmond Bridge was built by convicts in 1823 and is the oldest road bridge inn Australia.

The are good views on both sides. I found a cormorant among many ducks. It seems that this cormorant doesn't live in Japan. I found this bird in the picture book (Field Guide to tasmanian birds / Dave Watts ). This cormorant seems to be "Little Pied Cormorant". The book says it distributes in Australia ( including Tasmania ), New Zealand, New Guinea, and Indonesia
