Red Sea Bream( Red Tai)
Yukino-ura, Owase City, Mie Prefecture

I left home at midnight. Joined a party and drove Root 1 and 23. Bought bait for fish and for us, and got to Yukino-ura at 4:45 a.m. Pumped air into a rubber boat on the spot and left the shore. Arrived at the fishing point, and started fishing. At first casting, caught a red sea bream which is 20 cm long. Happy! Soon caught a larger sized one but it was a hatchery fish. After a while, I had a strong bite. The spinning reel made a sound and a line went out. My rod bent like not a rainbow but a full moon. It occurred to me that it was a yellow tail since it went horizontally too. Wondering if I can't get her, I wound my reel to pull her in. To see the fish on the surface of the sea, my tension became extreme. A natural red sea bream! Luckily I managed to get her into the net. I breathed deeply. I drew blood and measured the fish. I was surprised! 57 cm! My record of a red sea bream! Sparkling cobalt blue of the pink fish made me happy. Sashimi, to broil with salt, and Kabuto-ni ( to boil the head of the red sea bream ). Wonderful dishes for three days!
