Antlion: any of several neuropterous insects of the family Myrmeleontidae, the larva of which digs a pit in sand where it lies in wait for ants or other insects.
- The RandomHouse College Dictionary

We often see an antlion, but it is difficult to find its larva. I went to see the larva with my children and found 2 larvae. Let's see them from various angles.

They pretend to be dead on the hand, then they begin to move backward.

Put on the sand, it began to crawl backward
under the sand.
In 10 seconds, it disappeared.

One of them dug a pit.
An ant was walking around and it dropped into the pit.
You can see carcasses of ants. Their body fluids are sucked dry.

The ant tried to get out of the pit, and at last it was caught with claws.
