------------------------ NOTE for OS/2 users ----------------------------- About OS/2 binaries =================== Executables were commpiled in OS/2 version 4. `dvipdfm.exe' and `ebb.exe' were compiled using pgcc-2.91.60. So your CPU must be PENTIUM or its compatibles!! If your CPU is 386 or 486, you need to compile from sources. To run dvipdfm, you need emx 0.9d runtime environment. ftp://ftp.leo.org/pub/comp/os/os2/leo/gnu/emx+gcc/emxrt.zip Installed TeX system is required. I did not tested with emTeX for OS/2. I tested dvipdfm with TeX system, web2c 7.2b. Installation ============ 1. Copy dvipdfm.exe, ebb.exe, and kpathsea/kpsewhich.exe to some directory in environmental variable `PATH'. 2. Copy dll/z113.dll, dll/kpathsea.dll, and dll/gcc29160.dll to some directory of `LIBPATH' in your `config.sys'. 3. Make directory TEXMF/dvipdfm. If environmental variable TEXMF is `c:/texmf'; dvipdfm> mkdir c:\texmf\dvipdfm 4. Add a line "DVIPDFMINPUTS = .;$TEXMF/dvipdfm;" to your `texmf.cnf'. Make binaries from source ========================= OS/2 ported GNU C compiler and GNU make are required. Kpathsea and zlib library for dvipdfm are included in this package: dvipdfm/kpathsea/* , dvipdfm/zlib/*, dll/*.dll Simply do "make -f Makefile.emx".
