| 仧 Brief History |
| 丂 | JACIS was founded on 29th November 1973 voluntarily to promote the development
of a Japanese International Air Cargo Transportation Information system
for the smooth and speedy transportation by air . It was expected that the implementation of the system would be helpful to rationalize process and to realize higher efficiency. JACIS had studied relevant subjects for the end with the subsidiaries from The Japanese Ministry of Transportation of in those days and reported output. Since 1984,it has been approved as an IATA accredited Dangerous Goods Training School and is none to second now with good quality, and it is publishing the Japanese version of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations translated from English version by it乫s own under authorization of IATA. It has changed full name of JACIS as The Japan Air Cargo Institute for Safety in 2003 in accordance with the change of the major performance. |

| 丂 | It has grown the necessity to handle correctly any
dangerous goods carried by air to avoid the accident or incident as a part of
keeping security all over the world. Dangerous Goods can be transported safely by air transport provided certain principles are strictly followed. The IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations is an easy-to-use manual based on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air. Therefore, it is essential to prevail the knowledge of the Dangerous Goods Regulations and make those who are engaged to transport the dangerous goods by air understand how to comply the regulations. The major purpose of our activity is now preventing occurrence of any accident, incident and wrong handling of the dangerous goods. JACIS is realizing the ultimate purpose by publishing Japanese Dangerous Goods Regulations, which has been well known as practical one in Japan and acting an IATA sales Agent. JACIS also has been increased the number of the Dangerous Goods course, both of initial and recurrent, to make availability to join bigger and providing higher quality of course. |
