BROMELIADS

MY FAVORITE BROMELIADS:

The Family Bromeliaceae is one family of plants, and it is included PINEAPPLE!

Bromeliads Photo Album

In this Family, there are some interested species for me. Those species are in the Air-Bromeliads, which live on trees and are main group of Air Plants. Especially, the Genera Tillandsia includes many Air-Bromeliads species. It matches for in any rooms, because it is NOT required to use soil borne!

Another type of bromeliads are Tank-Bromeliads and Ground-Bromeliads. The Tank-Bromeliads has a tank in center of rosetto, and usually live on tree. The Ground-Bromeliads live on ground. Note that this isn't classified by Taxology. It is just from form and/or cultivation.

Live with ants

Ants' nest (T. seleriana);

The T. seleriana shaped a bottle.

Ants made a hole at side of this bottle. Diameter is about 1 or 2 mm (0.05 or 0.1 inch).

Ants in interspace of leaves. They built their nest in this bottle.
