INVITATION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Our office selects around 12 Japanese universities (state, public, private), based on putting the priority to the universities who have a number of foreign students. We request these universities to recommend the candidates for our scholarship. ●QUALIFICATIONS Recipients of the scholarship must meet each of the following conditions: as of April of the commencing year of scholarship payment. �@ Students of foreign nationality �A Regular students of a Japanese university or college department, or graduate students 　　taking the proper courses, or research students engaged in studies equivalent to the 　　graduate level and major in either cultural science or human sciences �B Persons who do not receive scholarships from other organizations �C Persons who have student visa �D Persons who are healthy �E Persons who are interested in international understanding and friendly 　　relations and who are determined to contribute to society ●NUMBER OF SCHOLARS １２ scholars (1 scholar from a university) ●SCHOLARSHIP PAYMENT AMOUNT Monthly allowance is \120,000. Payment is made in the amount of ￥360,000 on the quarterly year basis( on May 15, August 15, November 15 and February 15). ●SCHOLARSHIP PAYMENT PERIOD 2 years (2 years from April of the commencing year. Recipients should be ceaselessly registered at university who recommended them to our scholarship.) ●APPLICATION PERIOD From October 14 to November 13 for the next year scholarship.

APPLICATION

If you have an interest in applying to our scholarship, please contact the section concerned of university where you are registered and ask them whether university has been requested by us to recommend the candidates for our scholarship. In case university has been requested by us, applicants should submit the following documents to the president or the section concerned of the university where they are registered. �@ Application form (prepared by the Foundation) �A Curriculum vitae �B A letter of recommendation by both the president and the professor in charge �C A certificate of student registration �D A list of Official Academic Record �E The certificate of the registration of foreign nationality �F Health certificate

SELECTION OF SCHOLARS

The selection method for scholars who are recommended by universities will be determined by conducting a paper screening and an interview by the Selection Committee of the Foundation. We notify the result of our selection to the applicants by letter through the president.
