[Edge Detection]
@ @This page describes four cases where edge detection program (EdgePS) is being used.
Two cases are for mechanical parts and rest two are for architecture.
3DCGModeler of the upper INDEX for NfDesign.
Contour points of buildings and rock walls etc can also be detected from captured data by outside laser scanners.
The following three images are input and output data of Edge Detection Program, displayed with NfDesign.
The First Image is of 160,000 points generated with NfDesign.
The Second Image is of edge points processed by EdgePS.
The Third Image is of input and edge points where edge points are indicated red.

The following three images indicate the procedure by NfDesign and EdgePS.
The First Image is of a polygon data created with NfDesign.
The Second Image is of 770,000 points generated with NfDesign.
The Third Image is of edge points processed by EdgePS.

The following three images indicate full points of Kanazawa Castle and two edge points corresponding to two different parameters set in the dialog of EdgePS.
The first is an image of all points.
The second is an image of edge points where the parameter of EdgePS is being set hard.
The third is an image of edge points where the parameter of EdgePS is being set loose.

The following two images indicate full points measured of a tank and edge points by EdgePS.
The first is an image of all points.
The second is an image of the edge points where the parameter of EdgePS is being set loose.
Because there are some areas of coarse measurement, and the tips of the tank must be detected, then the parameter is being set loose.
