3D Strata Model
  • Expanded mesh points from boring data and, an initial file which defines surface texture and stratus color, make the program display 3D strata model.

Polygon Machinning
  • Polygon NC Program, in combination with NDesign makes it possible to generate NC codes for polygon machinnings. Rough and fine machinning codes by contours can be generated.
  • Multi-islands and multi-pocket machining are available.
  • NfDesign can generate correct offset polygons even in case of over-offset.

Plug-in modules for NfDesign are as follows;

(a) Reconstructing Program from 2-and-a-half Point-Clouds:
  • Other than 3DChain , this program connects 3D points without overhanging in Z direction.
(b) Intesection 1 :
  • Finding intersection lines when slicing triangles repeatedly with X-Y, Y-Z or Z-X plane.
    Repeated time/interval and stating position can be defined.
(c) Intersection 2 :
  • Finding intersection lines when cutting triangles with a plane defined by 2 positions on the triangles and viewpoint.
    Length data can be output into csv file.
    This is suitabler for interactive operation.
(d) Intersection by Polyline(s) :
  • Finding intersection lines when cutting triangles with plane(s) generated by moving polyline (s) in Z direction.
(e) Mesh-points Generation :
  • Generating mesh points on 2 and a half triangles. Meshes are defined by X, Y interval and starting position. These mesh-points can be changed to triangles by (a) Reconstructing Program from 2-and-a-half Point-Clouds.
(f) Generating Level Points from Digital Elevation Map :
  • Generating level points from Digital Elevation Map issued by National Geographical Research Institute.
    (a) Reconstructing Program from 2-and-a-half Point-Clouds: can be used to change points into triangles.
(g) Generating Lateral Lines from Longitudinal Polyline :
  • Generating 2/3D lateral lines from 2/3D longitudinal polyline. Usually generates lateral lines on 2D polyline. If 3D lines are needed, (d) Intersection by polyline is applicable.
(g) Converting 3D Polylines to 2D Drawing Data :
  • After projecting 3D polyline on X-Y plane, moving projected data as the line from start to end is parallel to X axis. This function is useful when the user only accepts 2D drawings.
(h) Classifying Triangles on each Inclination :
  • Classifying triangles on each inclination and sorting them by inclination range.
(i) Mapping Photo on Objects by Perspective View Method :
  • After setting camera position, vertical and horizontal angles of photo, and capturing direction, this program make the photo mapped on the objects.
