A unique geometric entity, metaball can be used in NfDesign. Metaballs with a constant radius are arranged at the coordinates conducted from the atoms forming the protein by multiplying several hundred millions. Metaballs within a distance are merged each other and this feature makes it available to generate surface polygons.
