Dolphin & Whale Action Network has been working for a better relationship between wild life, especially marine mammals, and the human race since 1996. One of our first activities was to lead an action which resulted in Japan's first release of dolphins and whales from fishermen's nets.
As a result:
　　　Oct. 23, 1996: 100 dolphins released from drive fishery.
　　　Nov. 1, 1996: 6 whales released from Izumito Sea Paradise and Shimoda Aquarium.
　　　We publish a seasonal newsletter to inform people what is going on about marine mammals internationally and in the oceans around Japan.
We also lead regular activities for releasing dolphins and whales from captivity, and teach the public how they can help.

The english version of our news letters are issued 3 or 4 times every year. Though it is nonscheduled.
