Arabic-Japanese dictionary data compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista
May 5, 2008

This dictionary data is designed for the software called PDIC (Personal Dictionary for Windows), which is one of the most popular and well-reputed word search programs in Japan. This PDIC is originally programmed for Japanese versions of Windows, but it works on other language versions of Windows on the condition that
(1)Japanese language is installed.
(2)Regional and Language Options-Advance- Language for non-unicode Program at Control Panel is set for Japanese.

According to the PDIC programmer, the PDIC Unicode version is under design and you will be able to use it on all the language versions of Windows.

If you can read Japanese, please visit the official site of the PDIC.

As you may know, it is convenient for some languages like Arabic and Japanese to be treated with Unicode-based program. After the release of the PDIC Unicode, the non-Unicode Arabic-Japanese dictionary data will be converted to the Unicode data.

We are now at the transitional period from mixture of "ANSI & Unicode" to "Unicode".

More information will be added here, hopefully soon!
